Virtual Fundraiser for Green Hill Therapy
Like much of the world in March of 2020, we temporarily closed our doors. We implemented telehealth therapy for the first time in our organization’s history to ensure we provided continuous care for our children. We safely returned the horses to their homes, and utilized this time to evaluate our facilities and strategically prepare for the return of our hippotherapy programming. Green Hill needs your support now more than ever so each child can come to play and leave with the abilities and self-confidence to do so.

About Greenhill Therapy
At Green Hill Therapy we help children reach their full potential. Therapists guide each child along the path to achieve their personalized goals in a unique and playful environment. Activities such as working in the garden, learning to ride a bike, navigating an obstacle course or using the motion of a horse all address each child’s individual sensory, physical, cognitive and behavioral needs. Whether the goal is improving performance in school or lifting their head to look into their mother’s eyes, we take advantage of every tool to empower kids so they are able to live successful and fulfilling lives.
Projected Programming Costs
Horse Acquisition and Equipment ($8,000) – Acquiring horses including vet checks, transport and training. Riding pads, harness and helmets.
Barn ($12,950) – Repair front doors, fix drainage and resurface floor and stalls. Wash stations, windows and mats.
Arena ($19,500) – Condition floor, repair gutters and drainage. Add Cistern system to retain water and mitigate run off. Service ceiling fans. Assemble training pen.
Pastures ($24,750) – Ongoing seeding, weed control and conditioning. Trim trees, bushes and debris along fence lines. Get water and electricity to back pastures. Replace gates and fencing. Establish buffer with new neighborhoods.
Horse Track System ($15,750) – The need for more horses than the property can comfortably support, along with a need to stimulate and exercise the horses has led us to want a track system. This is a proven way to better utilize our limited space and keep horses moving in a natural way for better physical and mental health. This includes electric rope fence, rock and other surfacing materials, hay and water systems and work to adapt the areas. Horses move throughout the 10 to 20-yard wide track around the property.
