Job Title:  Clinical Director

Reports to:  President, Board of Directors

Supervises:  Therapists (Occupation, Physical, Speech), Outreach Manager, Equine Manager, Operations Manager

Organization Focus:  Green Hill Therapy is an outpatient therapy clinic, located on an 11-acre farm that provides occupational, physical and speech therapy services to children with special needs. Therapy sessions combine a highly specialized treatment approach known as Hippotherapy with more traditionally clinic-based therapy. Our therapists utilize the movement of our specially trained therapy horses, with the assistance of equine team members, to help children with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida and other conditions. Job Focus:  The Clinical Director is responsible to maximize Green Hill Therapy clinic resources to provide Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy services to benefit children and their families.  The Clinical Director needs to ensure Green Hill Therapy obtains full benefit from payment for those services.

  • Ensure each child has a plan of action facing various developmental, sensory, and physical challenges; has a targeted plan of action to improve their functional abilities and overall quality of life; is quickly scheduled with a therapist; and has a payment plan.
  • Coordinate with the Equine Manager to maximize the benefit of hippotherapy appointments and ensure appropriate certification and ongoing training occurs for the therapists.
  • Manage relationship with insurance billing, certification, and other organizations to ensure Green Hill Therapy is compliant with all insurance, regulatory and standard practices.
  • Manage relationship with physicians and other organizations that refer children to us with an order of service for Occupation, Physical and Speech therapy.
  • Coordinates efforts of Equine, Operations and Outreach Managers to support clinical efforts. 

Specific Functions and Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate staff scheduling, intake/discharge processes, waitlist management, and billing processes.
  • Oversee Therapy Intern program and ensure therapy team compliance.
  • Track therapy goals and handle all operational tasks.
  • Schedule continuing education for team members seeking innovative and scientifically based strategies for GHT patients.
  • Recruit, hire, manage and terminate personnel as required, providing mentorship and professional guidance to team members.  Includes therapists, equine, operations and outreach.
  • Coordinate employee meetings.
  • Provide necessary reports to Board, Therapists and Funding organizations.
  • Promote patient attendance.  Communicate policies, attendance records and if necessary discharge patients to maintain good clinical progress for the child and financial viability for Green Hill Therapy.
  • Maintain documentation in all necessary software or support systems (WebPT) for all communication and billing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a related field
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Prior leadership experience in a clinical or therapy setting
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and ensure regulatory compliance

Compensation

  • $70,000-$95,000 salary and performance pay depending on experience
  • Participation in 3% matching IRA program
  • PTO:  40 hours (after six months)
  • Holiday pay: 40 hours outlined each year
